2025 March-April Social Skills Group

Hope for Tomorrow Psychology Centre will be running a Social Skills Group programme from March to April 2025 for children between the ages of 5 - 7 years by our educational psychologist, Ms Daisy Tan.

The workshop will be beneficial for children who struggle with social communication and social interaction. Being a small group, the children will be taught the social skills, and also have the opportunity to practise the skills with their peers under guidance. To support parents, the programme includes a parent workshop to share with parents about skills to reinforce with child. Feedback is also provided to parents post-sessions.

Prior to programme, questionnaire to be completed by parent to assess suitability for group,

We believe parents are our children’s best teachers. Skills taught to the kids during the workshop need to be continually reinforced for them to better internalise the skills. Hence, we involve parents in the parent workshop, as well as provide regular updates to parents about the skills taught in the group.

We teach kids to develop social thinking skills to manage different social situations. The social thinking methodology help kids develop their social competencies, flexible thinking, and social problem solving, which equip them to better navigate the social world.
